Set on a 5-acre property in Afton, MN the clients of this lakeside summer home wanted to optimize their time outdoors.  By creating a new Pool House, our design team created new spaces for swimming, relaxing by a fire, and gathering together.  The Pool House has a cohesive feel with existing residence and is linked to the main residence via an angular breezeway that allows direct access to to all areas of the site.

The design team created sophisticated yet casual spaces both inside and outside the Pool House.  The use of a natural material palette of stone and wood on the exterior help create a calm oasis and tie the new spaces into the surrounding wooded lot.

This Pool House provides a beautiful axial entry to the pool and provides towels, beverage and other necessities to its users along a central hallway.  The auxiliary spaces provide efficient zones for laundry, bathroom, changing room, and shower.
